5 Super-Easy ways to get Rid of Tired Eyes !!

Sometimes my eyes look worst than this owl’s when i don’t get enough sleep and at the end of a long tiring day i end up having puffy eyes the next morning. Trust me, its very hard to feel fresh and alert when your eyes are tired and droopy!


Here is what I do to get rid of puffy/tired eyes :


1) Cold Spoon :

One of the basic theories in physics that i was taught in secondary school – high temperature expands and low temperature contracts a matter (ah,i still remember!yey! :P), we apply the same theory here.We want to shrink the puffed tissues or pores around the eyes. Take a table spoon (preferably steel) and place it a glass of very cold water for 2 mins or simply keep the spoon in the freezer for about 5 mins. Now take it out and put the back of the spoon on your eyes gently covering the under eye\puffy area. This method is very effective and really works for me!


2) Frozen Cucumber :

Take thin slices of fresh cucumber and keep it in the freezer for about half an hour or till it freezes and lay down on your bed without the pillow and place a slice on both eyes.This method works same as method 1.


3) Cold Tea Bags :

Take 2 used tea bags(black or green tea) and keep them in the fridge for a few hours till it becomes very cold,close your eyes and place them on your eyelids for atleast 10 mins,remove and rinse your eyes.
Tea contains tannin and caffeine which are proven to reduce puffiness under the eyes and helps in discoloration (dark circles). It also has antioxidants which soothens the skin.


4) Hydrate :

Drink plenty of water whenever you notice that your eyes are getting droopy because hydrating reduces puffiness.


5) Reduce Salt Intake :

Salt causes you to retain water in the face.I have a very bad habit of adding salt to anything and everything i eat (except sweet dishes of course). This is one of the main reason that cause puffy eyes, so try reducing the use of salt in your cooking.
